Anyone on here close to Arthur IL and can check out this sale? Saw the ad in the Agri news paper but cannot find it posted anywhere else. Large Amish estate sale . Probably Amish auctioneer. No web sight . Has some interesting A-C items. Problem is it’s also the same day as the Mudd sale by Springfield IL. Can’t be at both. Probably shouldn’t go to either. The one one I attend, the deals will be at the other..

good thing I live too far away - I would likely go bankrupt.
all my dream wish list items plus stuff I didn't even know existed.

3 Ford 8N's I loan to neighbors, but the '52CA, '41B and little B1 I do not.

I don't think anything is going to go cheap at that auction. I haven't seen a saleslist like that in a long time.

It seems there is too much power equipment for that to be an Amish sale. I thought they kept things more within their community also. Could they be Mennonite, not Amish?

Looks like they have spent their time listing all the scrap? I don't see pics listed of the other stuff. That seems strange.

If anyone thinks that things from down South are used (and abused) hard they need to see how the Amish mistreat things. They only spend money for repairs when baling wire and wood patches fail to work. I doubt that anything will be in the condition listed as they think anything still able to do a somewhat fair job is in great condition.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

You won’t find tractors (possibly one used only for belt work), skid steer loaders and attachments for such on an Amish farm. On a Mennonite farm, yes. And Mennonites will take care of their equipment. They drive nice cars and take care of them too.

DougS,you’re probably correct on the Mennonite. My Amish term was meant to cover all the folks in that area. And yes, there is a difference.
PaulB comment is the reason I started this because I,ve also seen some rough equipment from places like this. Just trying to get some eyes on it first.

It looks like they have a WD farm crane on the sale bill, wish it wasn't so far away and I didn't have to work that weekend. Would love to have a WD farm crane! If anyone goes to that auction it would be nice to know what the AC stuff brings!
