Hey new to the page guys...

I recently bought a allis 6080 4x4 w/loader and use on my beef operation love the tractor...

I'm changing the water pump Saturday and would like to change all fluids before winter hits hard....

For the tranmisson drain is simple from what I looked at but now does it need to be filled in 2 different spots?? Is there a dipstick or just fill till comes out of plug? Also what fluid do you recommend in trans and rear end and how much??What's the procedure I looked on the site and couldnt find an answer.. any help is appreciated!!
I want to make sure as my tractor can't be down for a while...

Hydraulic fluid where is the drain for that and fill? Or do you think it doesn't need to be drained just maintain level? What are your thoughts...

Appreciate the help guys
I'm digging into it this weekend just wanted to get an idea...

Thanks!

Not sure on the 4x4 but on our 6060 it was like 12 galllon of UHF which I got at Carquest. It meets the A-C Specs for 925?? I think it was.

3 drains. Plus you need to take out the metal screen filter on the bottom and clean it.
2 fill ports, one on the right side of the tranny (Takes 2 qts I think). The other is at the rear above the PTO (Takes 47 qts). This is a dipstick also.

Be sure to have drain pans that hold enough fluid!

The late model 6080s that have 2 hyd filters do not have the screen. Also it needs to be equivalent to AC Power Fluid 821, you can still get it from AGCO but it is not cheap.

The transmission must be filled separately through the plug on the side of the transmission and will destroy itself if this is not done. There is a drain plug for the differential/hydraulics, transmission, and at least a third drain plug on the drop box for the 4x4.

Get yourself an operator's manual (and read it), it will tell you everything you need to know.  They can usually be found pretty cheap on E-bay.
