| A recent post has me wondering,aside from the obvious HP differences, what,if any,are the difference's between the 200,210 and 220? Do any parts interchange? Is a XT 190 in the same family? Thanks |

A 200 is nothing like a 210 or 220. Very little in common. A 200 is simply an updated 190XT. As stated, a 200 is completely different than a 210/220. The 220 was the replacement for a D21 and is related to it. The 210 came into play as a gap-filler. Allis had the 190XT, at around 90-95hp, and the 220 at 135hp. They needed something in the middle, so they just de-tuned the 220, put on a 190XT-like hood and grille, and possibly a few other differences, and made a 210. ------------- 1956 WD45 Narrow Front Factory Power Steering, 1953 WD Wide Front Allis Express in Muncie, IN |

| I still have to wonder about a large frame tractor with a front-end-loader on it. To me it seems like alot of wear and tear on the front end and power director |

The obvious is that the 200 is a 301 cubic inch small block, evolved from the 190XT and later replaced by the 7000. The 210 and 220 are big block 426 cubic inch engines. Like said above, the 220 was AC's biggest tractor at that time and replaced the D-21. The 210 filled a hp. gap between the two. They were later replaced by the 7030 and 7050.

| They have 8 speeds 4 in the transmission and a hi-low range like an IH. None of which are shift on the go. |

| No clue,never drove a massey with that. It's more like a hi-low range on a 4 wheel drive truck. You come to a complete stop to shift from range to range and gear to gear. |

No you have a choice of low 1st low 2nd low 3rd low 4th then high 1st high 2nd high 3rd high 4th high with no shift on the go at all pick one gear and drive , you have to remember these were bull work tractors. ------------- You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul |
