Have a series 1 tractor with gear jumping problems . Was changes made to transmission, differential and wheel axles on a series ll.Housing and castings same? Looking possible switch out complete and wonder if that's an option.

Before you buy a different transmission check pinion for broken teeth. MACK

No transmission or rear end changes between Series I and II models.  I have a D15 with a D14 transmission in it.

Series 2 finals are slightly wider than D14s and early D15s.
