Awhile back I posted about a D17 series 1 that was running poorly but only at random times and how sometimes just shutting tractor off and restarting would resolve the issue. Well recently I decided that the first I'd do is put the fuel system back to stock, (had an inline filter on when I bought it) and put a new sediment screen on. Also thought I'd pull main jet and see what it looked like. (On new ground here as I know less about carbs than I do women and I don't know much about women. 😨). Eliminated inline filter, put new screen in and whenever I pulled the jet, it was full of all kinds of crud crap and corruption. Cleaned it off with some carb cleaner as well as sprayed the bowl too. Haven't run it much yet but I did cut a few acres of hay the last couple nights and it ran great. I'm hoping I finally found the issue that's been bugging me the past couple months.
