How do you remove the shift lever on a WC transmission?

Thanks

Ron, you have to remove the shift top and turn it over so you can remove the reverse lock out mechanism, then you can remove the lock ring and pull the shifter lever.

I have a PDF of the WC shop manual, I just sent a down load link for it to your email

Be very careful when removing the rails- the detent balls come out with considerable force!

And to remove the reverse lockout, you have to unhook the rod and let it travel farther than the lever actually allows. Clear as mud, but you will see what I mean.

Thanks for the information.

Do you have to remove the middle rail to get to the reverse shift latch?

Thanks,

I do not know. I've only done one, and I had all three out already.
