What item would this snap coupler to 3pt adaptor work on?  The arms do not move in and out, so appears that you would put it on something for the long term.  Also, what is the original way the third link was connected to the adaptor; bolt, pin, something else?  Appears someone previously put a different bolt in there.

Actually, I wonder if that is even the correct third link for this adaptor, as the hole in it is 3/4" while the hole in the adaptor is 1".

That top link is off of a Case tractor. As for the adaptor, iive been told they are to convert a semi-mount plow, or any heavy piece of 3pt equipment.

They were for converting a 3 pt piece of equipment to snap coupler.  Meant to be a permanent attachment to the equipment and not a conversion for the tractor.  Originally I think the top link was something similar to the beam screw on a SC blade only with eyes for ends. I know of a couple that could probably be sold for $200 a piece with no top link.
