Hey guys,

Bought a '67 Series IV this past Monday, and the lift arms would not go down. Traction Booster lever and depth lever had been removed for a corn picker so I figured the linkage was left in a position that would make them stay up. Got linkage free and reinstalled, lift arms would still not go down. At this point I thought I may have spool valve problems, but I went ahead and removed the lines that feed the lift cylinders. The cylinders are stuck in the up/out position. I have ordered the rebuild/reseal kits for the cylinders. My question is, has anyone dealt with these cylinders before? Have you seen this problem before? I will take some pics of it while it is torn down tomorrow. Just looking for info, hopefully good, with getting these cylinders rebuilt. I'm sure replacements would not be easy to find.

Find a pair of the newer style cylinders used on one eighty, etc. Much better design and they fit with no modifications. You're going to continue to have problems with the original cylinders even after repairs are made.
