Think it might be time to rebuild my wd45 hydraulic pump and hold position valve.  Where is a good place to get parts?  Or, should I consider a rebuilt unit, and if so, where?

Thanks!

Jim,  I would try Sandy Lake.  They are a sponsor on this page and have an excellent reputation for parts help.  If necessary I would guess they could rebuild your pump.  Also, do not forget the other sponsors to this site.  They may be closer.
Now this is back in the day when the 45's were new but then if we had a problem with the hold valve we would re-seat the hold ball by whomping it while seated.  Worked for us.  However, that was then, now, with normal wear and tear it might be best to replace the parts.  Don't forget to check the springs too.
Good Luck!

Sandy Lake rebuilt mine. Did a good job. They can give you an estimate of cost if you call. Very helpful people there.

That pump is pretty simple. Dean Byerly did a presentation at the Amana show on them. The hard part is getting the pump off the tractor. From there it's just a few springs, check balls, and seals.

That sounds simple but you still need to put the120pcs back together the right way.
Not difficult just don't lose the little balls and pay attention how it came apart.

Thanks & God Bless
