New poster so I hope I'm in correct forum. I have my 8050 and 7060. Used to plant with 8050, but put GPS in big tractor and loaded it up. Well I'm tired of 1 tractor doing everything on the farm. My planter is a 12 row jd 7300. When we bought it, it came with a closed system for vaccum ran off of pto (pto hyd pump, adjustment screw, oIL cooler, filter). All off planterm now. RUn hydraulic hose to a remote and my power beyond on case now. Can I put 1 of 3 remotes on either the 7060 or 8050 into a live mode with the adjustment screw to have the freedom of either tractor to plant with? Thank you |

| First off, welcome to the forum, and you are posting in the correct place. You have two very good allis tractors there. I am not exactly sure what you are asking here, but I think this will answer what I think you are getting at. Both the 8050 and the 7060 have closed center pressure/flow load compensating hydraulic systems, with flow controls, and adjustable detents to hold the remote hydraulic levers engaged. Either tractor should be more than capable of running the vacuum pump on that planter. Darrel |

Thank you. How would I go about setting the detent up to do that? Could I run a vaccum pump and an ace hydraulic pump simultaneously or of the same remote if I put an adjustment screw in line for each hydraulic motor? Will 2 pumps be to demanding plus lifting? |

| To set up the detent, there should be a rubber plug in the end cap of each hydraulic valve section. Remove the rubber plug (if it's not gone already) and there is a screw down in the hole about an inch or two. I am not sure if the screw is an allen head, or flat blade screw driver head, but either way, screw it in. This should make the lever hold itself in the engaged position without strapping it in, which you should NOT do. I am not sure how running both pumps together will work. I hope that someone else will chime in and help out there. I've ran the blower on an air seeder with several model Allis tractors with this hydraulic system with no trouble. I do usually Put the flow rater on the hydraulics first, though, and make sure the stand by pressure and max relief pressure is at the high end of the specs, and keep new hydraulic filters in it at least once a year. And run a reputable brand hydraulic oil. I run CaseIH hy-tran plus. Darrel |

No, I can not speak as to which would be better. I know they are both good, but the Case IH product is easier for me to get. Also got started on it, because in-laws had mostly IH stuff, so that was the hydraulic/transmission oil that was kept on the place when I moved here. Darrel |
