Why do you bury rocks in your field so shallow? That's the first time I had buried a rock that size. We've had a track hoe in to take care of much bigger ones though. Anyhow, when Dad tipped it in the hole with the dozer, I looked at it and thought I hadn't gained a thing. I was able to wriggle it down though so it has about 3 feet of dirt over it but it took some doing. Lesson is when you think the dug hole is deep enough, dig it again as deep. BTW the backhoe would not tip that rock as all. I thought that was what the fence row was for? Here in Tennessee, the rock comes to the surface for you. No need to dig for it.

Oh this one was on it's way. I just delayed it for awhile. Hopefully a generation or two. Next to this rock I found a couple pieces of disk blade and a row crop cultivator shank and spring.
