In the long process of putting back together my restoration project I have lost the exhaust pipe. My dad has informed me that their is a metal pipe that he thinks screws into thread in the manifold where that exhaust pipe goes. My question does anybody know the size or where I can bye this pipe to screw into the manifold hole? The way my dad explained it is that your screw the pipe into the manifold and then put the exhaust pipe over it??? Any info would be much appreciated.

unless it has the later d17 manifold it wont have a screw in pipe. early manifolds had a pipe section that slid in and was locked in with a bolt once the muffler was on.

Go to agcopartsbook.com and look at the parts diagram. Cal is right, the screw in pipe was not until the D17 series IV. The WC had a slide in pipe with a bolt holding it in.

So does the after market mufflers come with that set up or do I need to find the pipe you set in there?
