Back in mid-April I was posting about adjusting my 2-bottom plow to fit the WD45. Finally got a chance to put the plow in the ground today. I worked the plow in a section that had already been plowed to polish up the bottoms. Though plowed, the ground is typical New England soil: BONY! So I kept the speed down. Here's a video - in 2nd gear with throttle open not much! I need to adjust the plow to cut deeper, but that will require me to free up the beaming crank! Also cutting deeper on the front bottom than the back, so I need to tweak how I've got the winging screw set. I'll get to these soon - supposed to rain tomorrow and Friday. So, DennisA(IL) I am FINALLY able to tell you that it's working.....though not yet up to expectations.  Thanks to everyone who offered help back in April.Comments/suggestions happily accepted! BTW, I think the engine sounds better after a little work and a jug of Seafoam in the tank!

Stan, thanks for commenting. The plow isn't sucking deep enough. Not sure what the cause is. I've added photos of both bottoms to the original post to see if the plow people out there think the tip shapes are okay. Dave ------------- WC, CA, D14, WD45 |

After freeing up the beaming screw, I raised the back of the plow relative to the front - now sucks deeper. I think the idea is that the plow 'wants' to run level front to back, so raising the rear bottom makes it drop deeper into the soil to get to level. Maybe! Kinda fun listening to that 45 engine when the pulling got harder.  ------------- WC, CA, D14, WD45 |

Get yourself a snap coupler ripper it'll hook those rocks and get them up out the ground so you can haul them off. |

Haven't seen a SC ripper around here lately! Or at all, to be honest. In addition to rocks, we also have ledges - might get exciting if I hooked onto one with a ripper. Every time I plow here I end up with a lot of rocks to pick up.....and there's always more the next time! ------------- WC, CA, D14, WD45 |
