I've noticed a weep getting worse on the fuel shut off shaft. It looks like I just need to order some seals and washers. But is it ever that easy. Tim

The shaft seals are o rings. Replacing them involves removing the shafts from the pump which normally involves removing the pump.

those orings can be replaced without removing the pump, at least the shut off side. Any pump shop will have the oring.

Has the pump been off recently? The Roosa Master pumps I have removed or installed had two seals (not O rings) on the shaft. If you aren't careful when installing the pump, the seals can get twisted. When that happens you get diesel fuel in the engine oil (crankcase). It may be possible to have an exterior leak, also, but I have never had that experience.

Those are called umbrella seals on the shaft and there's a special tool to put them on correctly, that's all internal on the pump drive shaft and inside the pump tube, if this would cause the O rings he's talking about to leak the oil pan would be over flowing with diesel fuel,

If you remove the screw and lever out of end of throttle shaft, shaft should come out. Have only found one out of a bunch that would not come out. MACK

You're talking about a couple of different problems here. DB pumps (180-185-190-200) use those umbrella seals on the DRIVE shaft. DM style pumps,( all of the 7000 series) don't. Yes, the umbrella seals can be tricky. The seals that Tim is talking about on the shut off and throttle shafts are just O-rings that can be changed fairly easily. The top on the pump needs to come off, then a J clip needs to be removed. The fuel shut off O-ring is the easiest, but the throttle shaft O-ring can also be replaced by doing what Mack says. I made a stubby ,bent allen wrench to do that job. They are common O-rings from the diesel pump shop. I also replace the top cover gasket. Hopefully you don't break off one of the three bolts that hold the cover on. Pay close attention as to the parts that have to come out so they go back correctly. Extra clean is also good.

Google You Tube Roosa Master and see if that helps.

I am far from a professional but a similar Roosa on one of our L2s did that a few years ago. AGCO had the o-ring for a reasonable enough price and I was able to put it in without removing the pump. I think I took the screws out to remove the top of the pump on the combine so I was able to see a little better but it wasn't a big deal. Good luck!
