Converting my wd to distributor drive. I am wondering what to put in the housing where the horizontal gear and distributor meet? Does it need oil or grease? There is a zerk right next to the compartment. It goes the housing, a shaft and coupler where the zerk is and then the engine front cover.

Grease in the gearbox at the end, just take the end plate and gasket off and pack some in there. Make sure the cover gasket is good so it doesn't ooze out. If you got a zerk on the shaft housing grease it. If a slotted head plug on top of the shaft there should be a little cavity around the porous shaft bushing that you fill with oil, it will slowly seep through the bushing lubing it.

Thanks that's the answer I was looking for. I have a zerk. When I searched there was talk of oil so I wanted to make sure.
