Hello,
I am working on restoring a 1951 WD my Great Grandfather bought new. Lots of things needed done but now I have a rear clutch seal leaking. Torque tube is removed, old seal removed and new seals in from AGCO. This shaft already had the adaptor sleeve installed with the spacer ring. Question is what is the correct orientation/installation of the two seals vs the old one double seal? If I follow the orientation of the old one they are installed with the lips facing out. Also with the spacer ring there is not enough room to put two seals in the recessed area, the old seal had the spacer between it and the bearing and the seal was only halfway into the recess, how do two seals fit correctly on this setup where one seal with the old kit used to?
Thanks

If the shaft already had the repair sleeve installed you will need the single seal. I went through this on the last 45 I did. Reed at the central Ia. farm store found the correct seal for me.

Thanks for the picture, thats how I thought it went but that clears that up. So when installing the two seals that AGCO specifies (70271592) that are used if the kit (702225869) has been installed, does the spacer stay or go when using two seals for early WD's? The diagram in the service manual shows the seal sticking out pass the recessed area. It seems the two seals would have a tough time fitting into the seal recess. Just don't want to ruin those nice new expensive AGCO seals.
