Had duals on 185 power adjust, clamps that go onto the rails and then straps to the duals. Have seen other but a similar way of doing it. ------------- 1945 C, 1949 WF and WD, 1981 185, 1982 8030, unknown D14(nonrunner) |

| Take off one of the nuts on each of the rail clamps and replace with the clamp eyes. Then your band dual rim will need to have slots cut in them for the rails to fit into. Then just bolt up like you would normal. Very simple no special clamps needed. |

Anybody got any pictures? Do you fill them with fluid for traction, or just air for flotation? I know from garden tractor duals you run half pressure on the duals.We may as well turn this into "Duals for Dummies" (me). I don't know what normal is because I've never put duals on a full size tractor. This is the WD45 I got at an auction sale a little over a month ago. It came with the duals on it (and it does not look like they have been touched in years). The tractor does have the original spin out rims on the inside. It appears the duals hook to the inside lip on the wheel centers. On 38s I put 14psi on inner and 12psi outer. I would think that should work on 28 as well ------------- Allis Chalmers still exist in my mind and barns |

We ran duals on the 45 we had on the farm when I was young. They were just a second set of 45 wheel assemblies turned with the dish in and bolted on with the same lug bolts that hold the wheel assembly to the axle stub (longer bolts were used). All 4 tires were loaded and all 4 had the same tread pattern. We had an E III gleaner engine kit in it with a D-17 governor spring, and its main job was pulling a 10 ft. 1200 series field cultivator with a drag harrow behind that. |
