I just bought an Allis Chalmers B 1940. I don't know very much about tractors. It has a 116 cubic inch BE engine. I need to find a place to buy an engine rebuild kit. Does anyone know where I can get them? I have looked everywhere online and I keep finding 125 C.I. engine parts. Do some of the 125 engine parts fit the 116 C.I. engine?

The 125 is a newer version of the 116. All the parts will fit, just make sure you change the sleeves.   I think they got the cubes out of bore.

All the B125 kits will work. 116 and 125 are the same except piston diameter.

Congratulations on obtaining my favorite Allis Chalmers Tractor.  You will find it to be very basic, dependable, and durable.
As stated above all the 125 engine kits which include sleeves, pistons, rings, wrist pins, and sleeve seals, will fit the 116 engine block.  We installed many of these kits and they worked well.
Take good care of my favorite.
Good Luck!

Does anyone know where I can buy crankshaft main cap bolts? The tractor was partially tore down when I got it and 2 seem to be missing.

Any of the vendors listed on the site are great to work with.  I have used many and had good results.

IF you don't find original, I would think McMaster Carr or Fastenal would sell grade 5 bolts with drilled heads for the lock wires.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Steel Wire-Lockable Hex Head Screws - McMaster

Fully Threaded
Partially Threaded

Wire these screws together through the hole in the head to get more vibration resistance than any other screw (wire sold separately). They are made from zinc-plated Grade 5 steel that’s stronger than stainless steel and provides corrosion resistance in wet environments. Length is measured from under the head.
