If you have an extra day, you may want to take Mama over to Frankenmuth for a day. You will really like Bronners, the largest CHRISTmas store in the world, but you need to get there early, they close at 5 or 6 during the warmer months. Here is a coupon for the famous Family Style Chicken Dinner. They are famous for it. I prefer Zehnders across the street but this one is good too. Then you can stroll around downtown for a while. There is a plythorah of beers available if you care to indulge. A local brewery up the street from the downtown area. Frankenmuth is our favorite Staycation destination.

Hoping to go (depending on what the doc tells me).
Is there any primitive camping on the grounds? We used to do NASCAR races, so we are pretty well setup to be self sufficient.

I didn't have a meet and greet planned just the Saturday night banquet dinner never thought about having a meet and greet I will see if I can get another member to try to organize one as I already have to many irons in the fire I can't make any promises that I'll be able to make the meet and greet happen

Not sure what constitutes a meet and greet. Open to ideas to put something together. I assume that the group of forum members will want to meet daily for a group photo. We will try to accommodate this groups wants and needs.

Well mainly someone just picks a time and place that if anyone wants to show up do so. When there are so many things going at a show it is hard to set up a time that most could meet . Now if anyone knows of a forum member that is camping out for the week end u can spread around that he has free food for all Forum Members all week end and post up his location .LOL

I will be there Thursday to Saturday evening. We could have a forum meeting say around 10 or 11 am?? I have never been to the show grounds. So is there an easily recognizable place to have a "meet & greet"?

There will be a large tent for the gathering of the orange that will be visible from the main entrance gate. I suggest that forum members meet there at noon each day. The whistles on our steam barn will make it easy to know when it is noon.

Up date on Allis tent location at GOTO. After coming in the main gate on the east side of the showgrounds, there will be two newly constructed barns in front of you. Off further to the west you will see a the Baker barn (sign on the end). The Allis tent is on the west side of the Baker barn. Allis memorabilia in the Baker barn.
