I started this model a couple months ago and have it completed to this point. I took a lot of pictures and measurements of James Coons 42S which is the same, frame wise. It is pretty close to scale but in some areas, like the gear boxes, it is very difficult to get there. The lift gear boxes and the steering gear box work. I used brass slot car gears that I found on the web. I also added the tilt to the front axle but haven't built the gear box to make it work as yet. I had just fabbed the fenders when this photo was taken, so they are just sitting on the tire. There are at least 10 U joints, and they take me about an hour each to make. The project has been on hold the past few days as we move up to the mountains for the summer. But I have the shop moved and set up so will continue the build when I'm not fishing.
