A friend of mine has a D15 SII with the aux hyd controls to the left of the seat. He bought the tractor last year and the valve on the right leaks oil constantly thru the hole in the back. Not sure if the hole is supposed to be plugged? One of the other two has a hole and doesn't leak. We took the valve apart and the o rings seem okay. Should we plug the hole?

I would replace the O-rings any time it is taken apart.
There at 2 0-rings and a seal per the parts book.
The plugs were only used to keep out the dirt

Have seen them with "sintered brass" and some with a small rubber stopper to keep external debris from getting in.
If leaking, 2nd the o-ring comment and had to have a cap fitting made for my D12 some years back as could not find a cap to match the OEM. Mine was badly pitted on the ID and unfortunately, the machinist that made my new cap passed away last year. He made it look exactly like the original, hex flats and all.
You may get lucky and find a good one from a salvage yard . . . .
