I use an 8070 for row crop cultivation in a specialty crop.   I would like to know if AC sold any narrow tired tractors, like a 14.9 size. Can I find rims in salvage. Do I have to get them from Umferth (sp) Does anyone have pic of these narrow tires and rims on 8000 or 7000 series?

I have a set of 14.9-46 rear tires on a 7030. I put them on temporary to paint the tractor and used John Deere 10 bolt hubs that are 3 5/8" too. Makes it set up pretty tall and gives it a nice road speed, but there going to get replaced.

GM 7060, so the JD rims will fit the AC hub. I have a couple set of the tall narrow rims but did not check the center hub part. I just figured the AC rims would not match any of my JD stuff. Can u get a pic when u take it apart.

The rim bolt patterns are pretty standard. We use the same rims on our Case, John Deere and IH tractors as well as the sprayer. We run 14.9x46 on everything except the 4WD articulating tractors. you will need to duel the tractor up. the  bare tractors are to heavy to run 14.9 singles. Tractors are all set for 20" rows, so the outside of the duals are pretty wide.

Allis tractors are pretty rare out here, but a lot of older John Deeres have been converted like that for spraying. Those Unverferth "Step-Up" rims are very, very common here.

I think you'd need duals for the weight, but I don't know why you couldn't do it.

Yeah, I wanted duals to help with weight of the 8 row rolling cultivator. We are on 38's but crop grows into the middles

BIL has an 8070 with narrow tires, I think 14.9 by 46.  I don.t have any pictures but he may.
