I've seen a lot of 100 series tractors with what appear to be dual hydraulic remote valves, but with only one pair of hose couplers on the back. The second pair are plugged. Can a second pair of couplers be added to these tractors for dual remotes, or is it not as simple as that?

It is that simple as long as the tractor has "3" hydraulic levers side by side. At time of delivery most AC tractors did not have remote couplers from factory; dealer / purchaser installed as needed.

IF you don't have a 3 spool valve and lines already to the plugged adapters you'll be needing to find some parts.

A lot of tractors were ordered 'cheap' with one or as in this case 2 remotes with one side either a pipe plug female w/o breakaway or with one breakaway and the other plugged.

Usually the LH couplers were used and the RH plugged.

There were several different type of breakaways offered down through the years. Some were kind of tough to hook up...

I know you are asking about a 180, but my 170 came with only one. It has been a lot of years since I did it, but I added a spool and the extra set of quick connects. It wasn't too hard and I got the parts from Cooks Tractor in Clinton, Mo.

Thanks for the help! The tractor I'm looking at has three levers and three valves in the stack, so it looks like it has what I'm looking for.
