I am woundering if I could get by taking the head off having it magnaflux tested fix any issues with the head or replace it  cleaning the sleeves and pistons and putting new rings on all 6 cylinders put it back together with a new head gasket set and call it good  or am I just clueless and dumb? its on a 190xt III  I'm working on getting home   any ideas?

In my experience you find holes in the sleeves from cavitation. You will most likely need sleeves

So my next question is where is a good source of sleeves for a 2900 allis diesel? And I would like to find some not from china

I found some good Used ones at sandy lake imp a few Times but I think I've cleaned them out. I used the a& I kits before with no issues. Venders on this sight should be able to help.

Get in touch with Don in MO, Bates City Mo. He's good and knows how to find stuff and how to fix the 190's.
