Too dang windy to get the ladder out to work on the house. Well a while back I bought a set of lift latches for the daughters CA, currently has a 3pt on it. One latch was broken, both needed springs so today I decided to repurpose those expensive green and yellow mower blades I just replaced. This is what I started with; http://s769.photobucket.com/user/actractorman/media/1957%20CA/IMG_1073_zpsr45cfadj.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> This is halfway through the process; http://s769.photobucket.com/user/actractorman/media/1957%20CA/IMG_1080_zpsdkkaigjl.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> This is how it ended up on one side, now I got to do the other side. Anybody know what the 16 stamped in to the side is? http://s769.photobucket.com/user/actractorman/media/1957%20CA/IMG_1083_zpsbo8dblqj.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

Nice fix! What method of welding did you use? Hurry and finish that other one up so you can get back to that clutch on the bench, I wanna see more of that project

OK Jacob, leave it to you to spot parts on the bench, I can guarantee you that they didn't look like that when they were removed from the bowels of the beast! I can't strategically place things in the background of my pictures like some people, (ahem), Fred. As for welding I will say that preperation is 90% of it. I couldn't find my carbide whizzer bits for a while and got kinda frustrated but they were just where they were supposed to be. Fast forward to today, I went out to the shop to do the other side and the wife was cleaning out her car so I stopped to help her a bit, (Happy Wife.......) got to the shop, forgot the lift latch in the house, stumbled over the wheel to the 57 CA in the office waiting to be finished. Threw it in the cabinet, had to add media then proceeded to sand blast the wheel. Let me just say that a spin-out rim has more nooks and cranies than a roll top desk. Few other set backs but at least that thing is out of the shop but all I got done on the lift latch was the drawing for the missing piece. On the bright side, here is the rim. I'm comfortable with my ADD http://s769.photobucket.com/user/actractorman/media/1957%20CA/IMG_1084_zpsfiyvlrr9.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

JW, is that the Yamaha you were getting ready to paint last year when I was by? Looks good from the front, especially with the big A-C logo. Can we get a bigger shot of her?

Your ADD, that's funny! I told a friend this morning that I never know what I am going to do when I get up each day but I never seem to get done. Keeps boredom away.

Can we get a bigger shot of her? | I can't find the thread I started on the golf cart so I will repost this picture. Yep, it isn't the bright pink it once was. As for the ADD, tonight I headed back out to the shop to finish the latch when I noticed a marker light had come off the camper so I got the ladder out and fixed that. While I had the ladder out I figured I'd fix that gutter that has been ratteling in the wind the past two days. Got that done and did get the piece cut out and shaped but quit before the final grind for the ridge because if I'd gotten that far I wouldn't have come to a stopping point until it was finished and I haven't had supper yet. Brad, just remember, I am a delight with impressionable young kids. See y'all in July. http://s769.photobucket.com/user/actractorman/media/DSCF1827_zpsxhopxxzt.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">
