It has no power, engine dies when you just try to move it forwards. Gas system is not blocked, checked it out. Intermittent spark at spark plug. Put in new plugs but still have the no power problem. Motor in it is a Linamar LX790. Looking for suggestions to solve problem.
Thanks, Nella

Never heard of that motor brand, (my L-775 has Wisconsin v-465-D in it).--Is your motor an air cooled?--4cyl. or what!--- Just of the top, I would say check the ignition system real good.--coil could be getting weak,---Does it have point stile ign.? if so point gap is off condenser is bad!----Post more info or pix. of it.---that would be real helpful! thanks; ac fleet

This motor is the same as a Onan P220.
It is a 2 cyl. air cooled.
Don't know what style ignition it has yet, one manual said points and another solid state.

We run the NH skidsteers where I work, are the auxiliary hydraulic port(s) controlled by a foot pedal? Ours have a lever between your feet to lock these in the off position because your foot can put pressure on the pedal and flow the hydraulics. As soon as you try to move the engine will stall because it doesn't have enough power to do both functions at idle speed.

-------------
190XT Series III, D17 Series IV, D15 Series II, All Crop 66 and a whole mess of equipment.

This skidsteer doesn't have a pedal between the foot pedals.

Think its electronic, with the mechanism behind the flywheel...

If it had points, prolly would be on the back of the motor, little tiny box, on top of crank...

could be mid year split, so both were in the manual.---Onan was hip on points, and it still sounds like points closed up, gap is critical on engines.---If solid state, it would run or not run.---to run but no power sounds ignition related.----If the module has gotten loose and slipped on the flywheel mounts, that would also affect the ignition. If point style, it would be coil and it may be going bad. thanks; ac fleet

It has electronic ignition on the motor, replaced the coil(NH price 165$, Ebay 75$, exact same coil delivered to my shop door) and the motor works like new again. It was hard starting, no power, sounded weak and would stop running occasionally. My B with a magneto run very similar, put a new coil(thanks Steve) in it and runs well now.
