ran the h4 for about 4 hours yesterday. Started at 8 this morning to 12 when I ran out if gas. Had to go to town to fill up my containers. Got started back about one. then it died. Battery was dead. Guess my alternator didn't work. Put three batteries in it and finally got it going. 1:45 rain started coming down. Put the h4 in the garage. tried to use the skidloader but it was already to wet. So I'm done for awhile as we are suppose to get 3 inches or so the next two days. Good news is I'm 90 percent cleaned out. sure moved a lot of dirt out of this pond. what I have left I think I can get to with the back hoe. since this was my first time doing this I'm fairly happy with the way it went. The old h4 really performed well. I need to check my alternator tho so I can fix that. I do have a QUESTION for you. On the left hand side of my panel there is a rather large hole. I suspect maybe its a proof meter. If so how is it controlled. Does it have a cable or run on the battery. All I have is an empty hole. Thank norm
