Anyone have problems getting a new radiator to fit in a D14? I have a brand new radiator I'm trying to put in a D14 but the fan don't seen to clear the radiator. I had the stock fan on first. Now I grabbed a C fan and it still barely hits still. Are these new radiator crap? ------------- Can't fix stupid |

had the same thing on a 45' i took an marked it nice an cut some off with cut off wheel' an took a mower blade balance tool an balanced it before i put it on' worked good' 7 years now. |

Yea, I'd rather cut the fan then start cutting into the radiator supports. I had a thought to just out an electric fan on instead. Anyone ever do that? ------------- Can't fix stupid |

| New radiator may be a fits all, works on none. Also check the fan, itself, there is an adjustment on the belt, that shifts the fan to and fro, IIRR... |

I was wondering about the fan being adjustable. When I got a new radiator for my d17 it didn't fit at first glance and I had to run that day so I didn't see how the mechanic I had helping me got it to fit while I was making a parts run. But then I looked at it later nothing looked cut. |

Only thing that shifts is 1/2 of pulley ,NOT THE FAN. Not very often I install aftermarket radi. that dose not require a adjustment to install. ------------- He who dies with the most toys is, nonetheless ,still dead. If all else fails ,Read all that is PRINTED. |

OK, I'd be trimming the fan shroud. reasons 1) only two shroud sides to trim, fan has 4 blades, so 1/2 the work 2) trimming fan blades needs to be precise( balance) 3) should has pop rivets to the 'correct cops' will know anyway D-13#3 has a modified shroud as does the forklift.. I suppose it's really a coin toss ,maybe do what's easier and needs less bandaids ? Urge anyone seeking a radiator replacement on the smaller A-C's contact Tony w/ Tony's Tractors on this site. Tony went through plenty clarifying which/what/how on fittings from different supply sources over the years and can typically get what you need with less headaches. |
