Has anyone here rebuilt a CA tranny...It's the proverbial 3rd gear jumping out....I found a new OEM gear at swap for cheap...But after looking at service manual...It appears I may need more than just a gear change (bushings/shims)...It looks to be a PITA to keep bushing pins in during re-assy....Any help/photos or insight would be much appreciated.

More than just the gear.  Sloppy bearings and worn shift collars are the problem too.  Fortunately AGCO still carries lots of parts.

Pay attention of the shim count in each location as you disassemble.  You will probly not need many new parts, if any, if the case is not full of metal shavings/fines/rust.  Take a few pictures as you disassemble. They are not that complicated.    Here is a link to a C transmission.

Well when I try to find the set of pictures with all the gears out I can't find them. This one will give you an idea though.

Also check the round ball on the bottom of the shifter lever. Sometimes they get worn and doesn't put the tranny fully in a gear, then it pops out.
