Anyone ever had one or know if you can still get parts for them from AGCO?  I am looking at one to plant my deer plots.

usually the first things to sieze up on any drill is the disks, take them off and work them ina vice with penetrating juice, grease or oil them good and put them back on. all them old drills are pretty simple...takes oiling and greasing....and unless the pieces are broke, they'll last for about ever!

Went over and measured it this AM.First its a John Deere/Van Brunt, rubber tires, metal boxes, with grass, grain and fertilizer boxes.11 discs with 7" spacing, overall width outside to
outside of tires is right at 8 1/2 ft.The boxes look good and even the fertilizer box seems OK to use and the spinners are free.It was well oiled when last used and I got to thinking about it and probably around 40 years since it was used.Nothing really shows much wear, but I'm sure it'll take some work to get it to working properly. Its located on the farm next to mine about 12 miles North of Charlottesville VA just off US 29.If you're interested I'll see if I can get a price on it.They also have a pretty good David Bradley 2 row corn planter with some extra plates. Both have been in a shed.I'll help load it if you decide you want it.

I might be interested in the Van Brunt drill if this Oliver doesn't check out.  I am down in SEVA but an 8 1/2 footer would probably fit in my trailer. Sent you a PM.
