Has anyone tried or thought about trying to convert a WD or WD45 to 4 Wheel drive?

Yeah, I've thought about it. That's as far as the idea ever got. Lol
I did see a photo of one once that had a successful conversion.

I have wondered if there was a way to put a ford elenco kit onto my d15 but couldn't figure out where I would hook in the drive shaft for the front end so I gave up fast.   Sure would be nice on a loader though.   I came to the conclusion that hydraulic assistance would be the best option there where some kits out there but I forget what ac tractors they fit. I never understood just how they matched the rearend speed. In the end i decided 2 wd was good enough for me. If I ever saw one of the elenco kits for a farmall M or h I would jump on it but I expect those bring way more money then I could afford. Basically those kits are the front axle from a dodge power wagon cut down and with modified steering linkage. As I said the tricky part is where to hook up the drive shaft.

A buddy of mine has a ford 801 diesel with 4 speed standard a reverser and elenco 4wd. That is a nice tractor even if it is a ford. Great loader tractor but no live power.

I've seen a couple at shows over many years. Both lost the hand clutch and the hydraulic system. They had cut down front axles that looked like old power wagon ones. One had what looked to be a WC transmition with what looked like an old jeep transfer case between that and the WD transmition. The other had what looked to be a truck transmition with half a NP 203 transfer case between the clutch and the WD tranny. I saw one drive in the parade at rollag but it had the front drive shaft removed at the time.i don't have any pictures and it was a very long time ago.

You could sell the wd and buy that probably you will have less invested when all is said and done and more hp....

I always wanted to make one articulated and run a chain down from the pto to a driveshaft that went to the back unit. Then make a cable operated shifter going to both transmissions. You could use the pto for a front wheel assist too if you pick the right gearing and only engage it in that gear, but the hand clutch wouldn't stop it from moving. On a WC you could make a drop box between the transmission and rear end.

I wonder if they have live power. The pasquali doesn't.   I sort of wonder if ford had someone like pasquali built it for them. All I know about them is that one has been for sale for about 2 years.
