Alright everyone. I'm working on installing that cab I got from dpower and the cab has the air conditioning setup. I'm looking for a place to mount the compressor. I've come to the point of thinking it would tuck away best right where the alternator is currently mounted, only thing I don't know is if a compressor can be mounted with the fittings at the 9 or 3 o'clock position? Can it?

If it can I will fab a bracket for it to sit on there and then move the alternator up above the valve cover area with a couple fabbed brackets. This would keep everything tucked away the best possible.

The compressor I'm using for fab work is an old r12 one with a double pulley so I should be able to run one belt for the water pump and AC compressor then a small belt from the compressor up too the alternator... Hopes anyhow

Any input would be much appreciated fellas this is kind of my stand still on a three day off from work project to get the cab fully installed and ready to work again as we need the tractor to feed with.

It depends on which compressor you are using. My 200 and 7010 both use the GM A6 compressor mounted above the valve cover. You could probably get the brackets at a salvage yard. They both use a single belt with an idler pulley. The bracket are slightly different between the models.

The best thing you could do is find compressor brackets off a salvaged 200 with factory cab. That way it's not only is hidden under the hood but the compressor would be driven by a separate belt directly off the crankshaft pulley. Compressor belt MUST be kept very tight. You may also need the double groove crankshaft pulley off a 200 cause I think all 190's were single groove.

Surprisingly my 190 does have the double groove pulley. Thanks for the assistance fellas. Looks like I will be searching for a factory 200 ac bracket now. Thanks again!

I believe brackets and a compressor from a 7010/7020, may be more plentiful to find.

I think they will work for you, but I have never done it.

eisemanns yard was a mess last few days with the mud hope to swing out there wed or Thursday. I know they junked a 7020 not too long ago. Ill see what they got for that as well as that 190 panel if you have not located one of those yet.

Thanks dpower. I did come up with a side shield in Ogallala this past weekend when I picked up the glass for the cab. If the mounting brackets are relatively the same on a 7000 series I would definitely be interested in knowing if they have one. But I'm also not in a rush to do that part so don't be making any special trips for my sake.

you ever go to that salvage yard Miller Repair in Maxwell NE right past North platte on interstate. Hes an allis guy and has alot of allis chalmers in their salvage yard especially 7000 series. maybe worth a stop for you
