Hi,I am Thinking about getting the 7040 fixed up a bit in the summer.

Just curious where you can get a Roosa master pump rebuilt in Ontario?

What would it cost approx?

Could I get it turned up a bit too? Just to have the extra punch when I get to a tough spot.. not for continuous full throttle work, Maybe an extra 10 horsepower.

Also, How much do new injectors cost? Im thinking If I get the pump rebuilt it would be worth it to replace the injectors.

The tractor has 7000 hrs on it now. I believe it was rebuilt at some point but not sure to what extent and if they did the injector pump.

Thanks,
Nick

Ontario is pretty big. What part?

Back in the 70's, when I was involved in pulling, there were some guys in Pointe Claire, Quebec (Montreal suburb) that did our pump work. (I haven't done anything with them in over 30 years, but they were very good.) This might help if you are in eastern Ontario.

Here is the link to their Facebook page:

I'm seeing injectors priced from $65 - $105 USD on the internet. I, personally, would contact injectorpumped on this forum if I needed pump or injector work. I have never done business with him, but I only hear good things about him.

If you are in eastern Ontario and need help getting (legitimate) parts across the border, send me a PM. I'm about 15 miles from Cornwall in NY state.

Yes!  Which part of Ontario?  I took my 190XT Roosa pump to Steve's diesel in Bowmanville last year.  He rebuilt the pump, set it 10% over stock and also put new injector tips on the injectors.  My wallet was 2000 lighter after that, but it seems to work good - I have only had it running for around 30 minutes with no load.

Roosa Master pumps are very common.  There should be a good shop that can rebuild it in your area (wherever you are).

I am in the Hamilton/ guelph area. I am going to wait till summer to decide what all to do on the tractor.. not enough money or a shop to work in now.
