190 gas is hard to say. My grandfather hated his had issues with it and claimed it burned soo much fuel it wasn't worth having he also spun the bearings 2 years in a row when it was new. He said it was the worst tractor he ever owned and why he stopped buying ac. I think he got a lemon. But from what I have read here people like the 190. As to cost I would expect to spend about 4000 before it is running again. I would expect you will have to go completely through the motor. |

Dad ran a gas 190XT for may years with one axle bearing going out (I blame that on myself flying in the field with it moving round bales and hitting a hole, the bearing went out on that side that fall). Other than that he had good luck with it a wore a set of Firestone Deep Tread right off of it custom round baling. Yes it drank fuel but not as bad as a 4020 gas would. All the big gassers were heavy drinkers. | You'll have more into it then it's worth if you're looking to fix and resell it. Best bet would be to put a diesel engine in it. |

Who knows what the future brings as far as value. At one time A Allis's were virtually worthless. So were old E 25-40's. I hear you there. I have too much invested in all my tractors compared to what they are worth. Or they need too much more put into them. That is why I just said what I expect you will have in it. Honestly I would offer about half what he is asking for that tractor and be be willing to walk away. I would point out how much you will need to put into the motor alone and let him know you will let him see it when it is done. But to me I see a pretty big tractor that will be harder to take apart because of its size. I personally find without a full shop anything bigger then a d17 isn't fun to work on. But that is just me. I do have a different perspective though because I am trying to run a small farm and have to depend on my stuff all the time. Fixing them for a hobby is different then to farm with the old tractors. |

1550 For a tractor that does not run is too much. Strike 1: it's a gas engine that does not run. Strike 2: mismatched tires. Strike 3: because of an engine that does not run, no way to tell if the transmission is any good. How much do you want to spend to restore it? Mine is an XT diesel that I am restoring. Finishing up the last few problems, re-assembly will be next. Here are some prices: Transmission and rear end rebuild $3500, complete engine rebuild and new turbo $5700, 4 new tires $2200. In total, I am over $25,000 invested in a tractor that I bought for $5000. | I bought a running gas 190 last year paid $1000. Tires were bad doesn't jump gears. Has a snap coupler starts and runs real well. One lift cylinder leaks and it transfers hyd fluid from power director to transmition. I put a balance tube between the cases and have drove it around the yard. I was going to split it last summer but we've got two tractors split at the farm and I won't have a splitting stand till we get one back together. I used it this last summer for a couple hours to run a 6' finish mower every think works and it has good brakes. I really like the operating station and maneuverability of it. But it way to big of a tractor for mowing my 5 acres. It's also to tall to fit in my shop so it's in a tarp hoop shed. |

In the last 5 yrs I have seen 2 One-ninety gas tractors with 3pt sell for less than $3000. Both were in better condition cosmetically than the one pictured. |

| I bid on a gasser 190 on an auction, and quit at $7500. it ended up going for $9750. it wasn't all painted up pretty, but wasn't the worst i'd ever seen. and it ran good. |

I bought a good running OneNinety gasser a few years ago for $1500 with good tires and no other issues. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |
