Hello, my father has this Allis Chalmers crawler and we are trying to find out the model but the diamond is empty, no model mark. Anyone have any idea? He reckons it's very old.

Definately an M crawler as previous posts have indicated.  They made a narrow track model and a wide track model.  I had a wide track model that had a WM serial number.  Not sure if the narrow track models had a designation for the track width.  They are cool old tractors.

Nice looking crawler. looks like it needs to get out and play. Old crawlers dont like to sit around.

No idea why the M is missing:  probably been removed during the years.  The serial number is by the gear shift handle.  You can check this against a serial number registry.  Your tractor has the later manifold so I am guessing it is a 1937 or newer but this is just a wild guess as modifications were often made to these tractors.

M with a U radiator fitted as there shud be a hole in each corner of the diamond for fitting nails (rivets) to hold mhe M badge, same castings were used on the M WM UC and U
