Decent tinwork unit, running well, not a gear jumper, decent rubber, 3000-3500. Optional spool valve assy. mounted to factory bracket at base of left fender, add another 300-400.00. Look for helicoils in use under rear, where 3-pt. base and TB mounts, or even loose bolts that have been run a while. 415 full hydraulic loaders are rare but they make a nice combination. |

If you're asking what the value of the 3pt assembly alone is worth, I say whatever scrap in your area is bringing. The Allis 3pts before the D17IV are about the most worthless 3pt designs ever built if you plan on actually using it instead of having a show tart. ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Sold a factory 3pt assy with the lift housing this summer for over $500. I agree the setup is not comparable to the D17IV, but it is a category one capacity, similar to the 8n Ford. Works great with a Wood's 3pt mower and 3pt blade. Just be cautious using the blade while in reverse. |

| There must be a desire for them. When I was selling a 3 point for a D17, I had quite a few calls asking if it would fit on a D15. If it is a factory job, I wouldn't haul it to the scrap. |

I wouldn't scrap it either. There's always some fool wanting a 3pt. I'd much rather have the factory adapter for the snap coupler. A blade pushing snow or bush hog is about
the worst thing you'd want to do with those poor designed 3pts that are only held on by the 4 bolt into the bottom of the rear housing.

| well aj if you have one for sale and want to part it out I would be interested in the drawbar and hanger and mabe the lower arms, I am in need of a drawbar and hanger for a 615 of mine and the arms will interchange with the 10 and 12s |

With the A/C Snap to 3pt adapter, can you use the PTO, looks to me the top link is in the way. |

There are multiple types of SC-3 pt. OEM adaptors. Likely the most common was implemented for use on the WD/WD45 and the same unit will work fine on a D-Series. The unit with the top link attachment point down between the arms is also used to allow for some sway control and the underside attachment that allows sway chains to be used as it mounts where the drawbar upper mounts are used with the drawbar. The center "sway control/top link mounting point" can be removed and the OEM top link bracket that mounts under the seat can be used for pto work on the D-Series. Mentioned many times on here and folks have put up both pictures and parts book diagrams from original A-C manuals. I have a number of them as bought them whenever they popped up years ago as it seemed few knew what they were or how well they would work. I can tell you this about use on a D15, Series One or Two: I would far rather use an OEM adaptor on a SC tractor vs. the factory 3-pt. I "roll" with a 1350# Brillion Tucker Mulcher every fall and spring on my smaller acreage after light discing, broadcast seeding. Yes, she knows it is there and I have only one 45# rear wheel pie wt. attached to each side engine rail. The geometry is actually quite good and I have used a 1200 pound Bush Hog brand cutter with the same adaptors for years without issue. The original crank handle on the right side upright arm is usually broke or missing when you find one of these adaptors. No problem as the threads are fine thread and usually move easy once cleaned/lubed. I pull them up tight as I run 14-9-26 tires on a D15II so I have plenty of room for depth/weight control and like as many threads engaged as possible on fine threads. The small bushings in the arm linkages require a shot of penetrant occasionally to keep everything moving and the SC bell/eye should be watched closely as always. If you can find an adaptor like the most common one described above, grab it as the uprights can be replaced easily with goodies from any decent farm supply store. Hardest part is adapting over to the OEM top portion where you need to use the hardened pins for the SC claws. I would also not shy away from a OEM "fixed" SC adaptor. These were made to stay mounted on each implement if you chose to do so and have limited points allowing sway, heavy duty for use on D19/190 but work just as well on the D15/D17. |
