I'm looking to purchase an A-C Dealer light up sign. I'm wondering if anyone knows of an old A-C dealer location that might still have one in the back corner or even on the outside of the building? Contact me at danrlilla@gmail.com as I don't make it on here too often. Thank you for reading this.

Good luck !  Most lighted signs have been scooped up in the last 30 years.
I'm lucky and have two. One was still in the shipping crate holding up a collapsed roof when I found it. None for sale!

You may have better luck asking here if anyone has one they would part with but finding an old dealer with one is like looking for hens teeth.

For the price these signs bring couldn't you find a sign company make them for you? Yes they wouldn't be original dealer signs but Allis didnt make them anyways, right? I don't have a clue as to what a company would charge to make new ones but it seems like that would definitely be an option to look in to.

Exactly Grinder220, theres a company name on mine that built it, I'm sure they could be reproduced,, some of those pics of the smaller signs posted are on Ebay and very cheaply built

Thanks for all the information. Have had a local sign company quote 1 sided and 2 sided signs ($3,400 to $5,075 for 2' x 8' sizes).

If ya have one made it would be cool to have the farm name or shop name like the dealer's were back in the day

Shameless that was a 2X8 I believe on that Wise bros sale in Missouri a month ago?? Sometimes signs bring big bucks and some times they bring around a 1,000 to 1,500.

Do you guys know if the original dealer signs had the metal casing with rounded corners or square or both? I see most with rounded.

I have seen both. I know the 3 2X8 allis signs I have all have the rounded metal on them. OLDOUG had an original sign that had the squared metal but it was a larger sign.
