Hi all- I tried to search the forum before posting this question, but if it's already out there and I missed it, sorry for the repeat. I have a G with a hydraulic pump and what I assume is a PTO (on the side of the tractor body). The PTO unit has a pretty steady oil leak (maybe one drop every couple seconds). I removed the unit, hoping there was a seal that could be replaced, but it seems like it's pretty much a sealed unit (either that or things are just stuck together?). Anyway, wondering if anyone could help me figure out the best course of action- can I stop the leak easily, or do I have to replace this whole unit?
Thanks so much!

Welcome Wes!
there's nothing to it! If you'll grab the little cap between the 4 bolts and give it a wiggle and a pull it will pop right out. then you'll see the nut that needs to come off so you can remove the flange. After you get the nut off, you can remove the flange (watch for the key!) then you can pull the seal. Seal is a NAPA #12530 or a national #450244 http://s33.photobucket.com/user/Joecdeere/media/AmandaSeniorPictures003.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> http://s33.photobucket.com/user/Joecdeere/media/Allis%20Chalmers%20G%20-2/pic013.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> http://s33.photobucket.com/user/Joecdeere/media/tech%20pic/scan0008.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">
