My 7010 PD won't go in to low range. Just stays in neutral. Sometimes by shifting a bunch between High and Low, it will finally catch. Is this a cable problem, and is there an adjustment? Thanks,

| Probably the small side-shift cable is stiff/sticking. Adjust all you want, but replace the cable first. |

That did it! By the small side cable, I assume that is the one on the bottom of the shifter? |

my heim joint split. got mine back together and welded it. cleaned threads and it works like new. pull the floor pan, it will tell u the story ------------- AC from the start of my families farming career till the end! |

I ended up cutting a hole in the floor plate and installed a shift lever for my 7010. ------------- 1970 190XT, 1973 200, 1962 D-19 Diesel, 1979 7010, 1957 WD45, 1950 WD, 1961 D17, Speed Patrol, D14, All crop 66 big bin, 180 diesel, 1970 170 diesel, FP80 forklift. Gleaner A |
