REAR HYDRAULICS, D 15 SERIES 2I have a valve mounted just above the differential, under the seat on the more left side with an adjustment knob on the rear of the valve. Is this a pressure reg. valve of sorts? Or what is it's function? It seems to do nothing. If you can't tell already, my first Allis. Appreciate any answers or help. Like to get to know everyone mods, etc. Thanks a lot and hope I get to meet ya.

I'm gonna take a guess and say it's a transport valve. It was used when you have a mounted plow with a hydraulic cylinder on the tail. I never had one or used one, so somebody else may correct me on this.

Yep, transport valve, not for adjustment, for locking the remote cyl up.

this valve is actually hooked up to a steel line going into the trans??? and one up to the pump housing? Suction and return? That's it, those are the only two ports on it. So is it sposed to control an external cylinder.......???
I have hunted for a picture but have had no luck

It's called the transport valve. When turned all the way in one direction it allows the lift arms to raise fully before oil goes to the remote ram on the semi mounted implement. Has to do this for traction booster to work. All the way the other direction it's as if it's not there. Lift arms or remote cylinder both get oil and whatever has the lower load will raise first. This is used for fully mounted or pull type implements. It should be adjusted either fully in one direction or the other.

Bear with me now.....hehe......where does the remote or attachment cylinder get its supply, as there are no more ports?

If it is like mine, there is a removable plug on it where a remote outlet could be installed. Just above the knob.

Ok, I got ya. I'll look at that thing a little better tomorrow! I am assuming the pump has a pressure regulator somewhere, (on it?) that's what I have been wondering. I just bought this 1965, one because I needed it and two I think........I got a good buy on it ($1900.00) with the front loader and a 6' box blade. She runs very well and has good rubber. Thanks again for all your help. πΊπ»π₯π₯πΉπΊπ· <------ may have had one to many of them

It was used with a semi-mtd plow etc. you had to have the Transport valve to make the TRACTION BOOSTER work the way it should, if you don't have it with a semi-mtd plow the rear of the plow would lift before the front when the TRACTION BOOSTER was activated.
