Thinking about a 8010 purchase . What are your opions on allis 8010"s would like to have one to use for rolling hay and pulling moco mower . Would like to buy one after first of year and wondered if they have common problems and how are they on fuel . Thanks for input never been around one but do like the looks of them , we do have a 7020 power shift that's a brute but just wondered how the 8010 would compare to it . I know there's a Hp difference and other differences but I figured several others have them and could tell more . Thanks

We have a 8010, we bale with. The cab is alot nicer than the 7020. I think ours is nearly as stout as the 7020 we traded in on it. Good heavy tractor. Only thing we have had problems with is the a/c, put on new compressor and drier and is much cooler than any 7000 series I've been around.

We love our 8010.  She primarily bales all summer long, and plows snow in the winter.  For a 30 year old tractor, she needs some upkeep, but otherwise, she is strong.  We bale only small squares, and she does it like a champ pulling the baler and wagon.  If you are making round bales, she will do real well for you.  The powershift makes baling a snap, as if the windrow gets a little thin, you can hit a higher gear to put more in the chamber.  Plus, the cab is very comfortable and everything is visible from the operators seat.

well i bought a 8010 last year. went from a 190 xt 111 to the 8010 for pulling 10 foot vicon trail type. i will say mine is a pd 20. 5 gears plus high low and high low switch on steering wheel. there allittle under powered per weight in my honest opinion. ( i know i know use it for intended purpose and its not.) anyways i took weights off front of mine and drained fluid out of front tires made a huge difference. I purchased to bale with but just don't know how i like the clutch pedal then push to far clutch brake. (feel like i'm driving my kenworth). will say i can run it all day mowing and only use half tank of fuel. thats from 8 a.m. till 7 pm. love cab and a/c. plenty of room for my two young boys to ride along and not be cramped. not much room in the 7000 for three lol. i bale my hay with a agco allis 7600. run all day put up 150 bales on 1/2 tank. anyways i have loader on 8010 and love it for loading and unloading hay. 

so my all around honest opinion very good tractors just dont let the size of tractor cloud your judgment on what it can handle. tractor appears big. with a small block breath. ill never part with mine and will set it up to be backup baling tractor. 

previous owner did bale with tractor thats all he did with it.

I'm looking at an 8010 Power Shift with FWA. Pretty nice with the exception of the interior. everything is supposed to work. I have not driven it yet. They're asking $15,500
It seems a big step up from my 200.

I was only around one 8010 FWA and it was a Power Shift. Fluid in the rear tires is probably a bad idea, as it makes the whole package too heavy for a lot of jobs and only 110 HP.

i kept fluid in rear for loader work but to be honest tractor probably doesnt need it for just moving round bales. i paid 13,000 for mine just 2 wheel drive. like said above and the DR has stated just alittle fat for 110 horse. but a nice step up from 190, 200

Preferably, have 20.8 x 38's on the rear for doing hay. The hitch is low with 18.4x38's.

I was told to stay away from them. The 8000 series frame is too heavy for a 301 to move around well. My vote is a 8030 I like mine.

Excellent choice for fuel consumption. I can round bale for 2 days on a tank. I added an intercooler on mine. Then you will have 7020 power with 8000 series cab. Tough to beat in my opinion. Mine runs 128HP with intercooler.

Specifically the FWA is heavier than a 7000 series. The 2-wheel drive 8000 is exactly the same weight as a 7000 series chassis.
