Hey Fellas !!!
What is the most economical way to ship 20 to 30 pounds items that a person sells for say $50 to $100.
I have been using Fastenal for shipping PALLETED large heavy items . Their 3PL "Third Party Logistics" are fantastic and easy to use. However small $100 items don't justify the cost of shipping on a pallet.
USPS flat rate boxes are often to small for my items.
looking at 12x12 and 18x18 box sizes.
All suggestion welcome.

UPS is not overly bad sometimes. I just shipping a 43lb item w/insurance for $35. It went across a couple of state.

Never heard of Speedy Bee, but...I have heard of Spee-Dee Delivery, but they're only in 7 states and a small portion of MO., which their last stop is me! Half or less than UPS on anything! That won't do you any good though, Ben, so back to square one. One thing about UPS though, is that your package includes the first 100.00 insurance automatically. Anything to do with USPS you have to pay for yourself. Something to take into consideration. Rick

I use FedEx Ground for a lot of my shipments. They are routinely less expensive than UPS. But I suggest that you ship to a business address if you can because if you ship to a residential address it will go via FedEx Home which is more expensive that UPS.

Spee Dee Delivery only services you mid west fellas as Rick had indicated. Will check into shipping FedEx to a business, and the others too. Thanks for the suggestions.

Check and see what the cost would be in your own box through USPS. Worth a try. I also have had good luck shipping larger items with Fastenal.

The "choose your own box" through the usps is a good dela if there's no weight whatsoever. Anything too big and heavy for a flat rate box is very expensive through usps. I use Spee-dee a lot, but yes, they are only here in the midwest, IL,IA,NE,WI,MN,SD, limited ND & St Louis MO area. I end up using ups on other things, but am following this for other options.
