Did some plowing with my B the other day. Did a pretty good job with my old 2-14 trip plow. I couldn't run it quite as deep as I'd like due to no weights or fluid, but all in all it did well.

I like my 2-12 Oliver. I used to plow all the time in red clay with no weights and the plow buried. Actually...I do have a belly sickle mower on it, so that adds weight to the middle. I recently put rear wheel weights and it really goes now!

If you have normal to heavy soil, I'd stick with a 2-12. 2-14 con sometimes be a bit much. JMHO

Wow.  I loved the video and picture.  It was really neat to see a B plowing.  Looks like she grunted a little, but handled it well.  Thank you for posting!

Ok...Question...what's that flat metal strap piece on the fuel tank with the hole? My CA had one, but I never knew what it was for. My 1942 B doesn't have one.

Imagine how much ground you could turn in a day if you had all yours working at it!

The later model Bs and all of the CAs have that strap to hold the back of the gas tank. The early Bs have a bracket attached to the bottom of the tank, which then attaches to the rear hole at the top of the tool box.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

A 14" plow should plow at 7" deep. You were doing a great job pulling that plow.Bob

Like Paul said, it's a hold down for the rear of the tank. There is a tab on the top of the tool box that it bolts to.

Thanks for the kind comments fellas, the old girl is doing pretty good after going through it this past year. I'm sure I could get the plow to pull a little nicer but I don't usually pull it with something as narrow as the B. I'm getting the 3 point hitch ready to put back on and I just installed new tires prior to the video. It's been a good little tractor.
