Last weekend I brought my all crop 40 home and I've been tinkering with it, I've noticed inside the grain bin there is no shield over the unloading auger. Was there ever one or was it such a small bin it never jammed up?

I never understood why you can unload on the go with a 40 but not a 60. The 40 was made in the late 30's, so why didn't they put that capability on the 60s???

Another question for you combine guys, I'm trying to get the cylinder out of this 40 how do you reach the pulley end bolts to hold the cylinder in, you have to be flexible to reach the bolts, any suggestions?

Maybe that's just it. Brett and I worked together on ours and I don't remember having any problems, other than getting the right wrenches. I don't think that at least one of ours had matching hardware all the way around. Or maybe one of us was on one side with a long extension and the other on the opposite side, both working through the access holes.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
