was just thumbing trough one of our new catalogs and it had a list baler 10 with a 125c.i.

As I remember, the non stop Roto Baler was labeled as #10 Roto Baler. Also, I believe all the Roto Balers could come with it's own engine to run it. I'm sure someone will correct this if I'm wrong. Den

Yep, the one at Hutch is Gary Agrimson's. By the time the #10 baler came out they were using the D14 engine.
Im betting very few or no #10 balers were equipped with engines. The primarily the reason for a power unit was when the operator didn't have live power, with the #10 live power wasn't needed.

I was thumbing through Pop's 1960 AC price book last night and remember 1. Yes the #10 roto baler could be equipped with an engine - that or the pto drive was an option 2. At that time the engine was a D-14 engine Good Luck! Bill Long

Balers with there own engine was the normal way in the far west until the last 20 years. I would bet most sold on the west coast had a engine,but have no idea of how many there where sold here.
It was only 4 maybe 5 years ago Agco stopped selling inline balers with engines on them.
Just got a FastLine in the mail one dealer featuring a 2014 Massey Ferguson 1843 with Deutz power,one of the last built. I have not kept up on models but by where it is would bet it is a 3 tie 16x23 or 15x23. Oh low hours for this area 1500 and only $47,000. But if on flat land so you can stop a B or C would pull it real nice.

Pretty safe to say I learned most cuss words as a kid from being around Dad whenever he had to work on or work hard that old NH77 baler with the Wisconsin, mag equipped. When running good, she could eat some hay for sure.
Come to think of it, I think he "got" most of us older kids on mag testing while we had it!

Everybody needs to learn about mag testing Tim. And I may have used a bad word or 2 on a much more modern Wisconsin V4 without a mag even.
But my experiences with the Deutz have all been good so far. I did have one falling on its face this summer(begged,borrowed,or rented....asked what I owe and no answer) and a return fuel line looked old cracked,and dry ,so replaced hose and it ran real good the next 2000 bales.
