Guys, I have my D10 Series 3 started back up after fixing an exhaust leak and an oil leak and an oil pressure failure. I am now moving on to a couple of other issues and I am hoping you can help me.

The tractor is running hot (or at least I think it is). It warms right up and then goes to about 220 and stays there. I have a brand new water pump, a brand new radiator, a brand new thermostat and a brand new gauge and sensor.

What are the chances I installed the thermostat incorrectly? Is that even possible? I was thinking maybe I should remove the thermostat and see if it runs a lot cooler. Would that tell me anything?

If you guys have any thoughts I would like to hear them.

Thanks,

Jeff

My D19 I had to drill a small hole in the thermostat it would air lock and not let the water go through the system. Hope this helps

Have you checked the timing? You could pull the radiator cap and check for flow that would tell you if the thermostat is opening.
