In the next couple of weeks I am going to be replacing the outer axle seals on my 190XT and the rockshaft bushings and seals as well. Will I need to drain the transmission or final drive oil for either of these jobs?
Appreciate the feedback. Hoping I don't have to drain either one, but don't want to make a big mess either.

I didnt and I replaced axle seals on 3 of em and no oil came out no need to drain for rockshaft bushings unless you remove the housing.

If the final oil was never drained from time you bought it ,would be a good ideal to drain and put in new .

Thanks fellas. The final drive and transmission oils were changed a few years back when the transmission was rebuilt, has seen little action since then so I should be in good shape.
