I think the owners manual said to use SAE 140 for A-C WD. Obviously, we wouldn't use that today, so what does everyone use? I have some notes from many years back to use Pennzoil Hydra Trans 90. Is that still accurate? Thanks in advance...

Use hydraulic wet brake oil or universal hydraulic.   MACK

I use the universal 303 hyd oil from the local farm store.  Price just went down from $30 to $20 for a 5 gallon bucket.

If I put hydraulic oil in it, I would make sure to use a high quality fluid like John Deere hytrans or other color equivalent. Maybe not needed but I'd feel better. I have 80-90 gear oil in the rear 2 compartments on my 45. Either is fine.

Anything short of Cool-Aid is going to be better than what they had back in the day. My suggestion is go with thicker if you have a little seepage/leaks and go with thinner if you don't have any leaks but no matter what you chose you will be fine IMO. I believe I used an EP80-90 in my rear two compartments on the WD45.
