I have a 59 series one D-17. It has a hydraulic fluid leak and I can't tell where it's coming from. Where it's coming out of is the inspection cover in the torque tube behind the flywheel. Just trying to figure out what I have to do to fix it. So far I just keep oil around to keep the level up so I can use it.

If it's the round cover on the right side, there's a gasket on that plate. If it's coming from behind the side panels, you'll have to remove the side panel to see where it's coming from.

The other thing I use for hard to find leaks is to put uv dye in the oil that you think is leaking and run it, then check with a UV light. Gives you a perfect look at where its coming from. You can get it at any parts place around here.

Seal on the input shaft going into the transmission?

inspection cover in the torque tube behind the flywheel.
Could be the rear main seal of the engine or the front seal in the torque tube. I usually replace both whenever I am in there. You will need to split the tractor behind the engine. It is also a good opportunity to check out your clutch assembly.
