Can anyone tell me if the brake components from a 185 are the same as the D19?

Which components are you wondering about? The pads, disc and balls are probably the same as they are based on later D17s. The difference is their location. 185 Brakes are in the rear axle housing of each side. D19 brakes are the same as 190 - ahead of the rear axle.

The bands are the same. As are the return springs on the drums and the balls. The disc lining and band springs are different. Splined drum is different.
